Standard Models

The Ébano - this exquisite guitar is made for "playing with power". It has a very clear and well-projected tone that stands out in live performances. Its acoustic strength comes, in part, from the use of Port Orford cedar on the soundboard and dense Macassar ebony on the back and sides. This model is also available with ziricote, Malaysian or African blackwood in place of the Macassar ebony. (more details and images)

The Cacao - the seductive acoustical characteristic of this instrument owes much to its rosewood back and sides. It can be constructed with Brazilian, Cocobolo, Siam, or Madagascar rosewood - usually matched with a "master-grade" European spruce soundboard. The bridge, bindings, and head veneer are selected from the same type of rosewood as the back and sides. (more details and images)

The Oro - almost a ‘blanca’ ... almost a ‘negra’. This model is built with beautiful flaming Hawaiian koa on its back and sides. Brazilian rosewood, African ebony or snakewood is used for the bindings. The soundboard is made of bear-clawed sitka or alpine spruce. (more details and images)

The Blanco - a traditional ‘blanca’ guitar constructed with European Curly Maple, Spanish or Italian Cypress, and a soundboard of Apline Spruce. As with all other models the tuners are high-quality Fusteros, the fingerboard edges are bound, the soundboard and back are uniquely domed, and the whole guitar is French polished.

The Rosado - this visually striking model gets its name from the Monterey cypress back and sides that are finished to bring out the natural reddish hues of the wood. This attractive species of cypress combined with a "master-grade" European spruce top makes this model a consummate ‘blanca’.

The Verde - the Oregon myrtle back and sides combined with a uniquely-braced spruce soundboard help give this instrument an earthy ‘blanca’ sound. Dark Brazilian rosewood is used for the bindings, bridge and head veneer.
