Welcome   Maker   Models   Custom   News   Contact   Links Anniversary Edition Guitars An exquisite pair of guitars has been designed to commemorate the 500th anniversary of the birth of flamenco. It was during the early 16th century that flamenco began to evolve from a fusion of gypsy (cante gitano), Moorish and Andalusian folk music. To honour the continuing development of this captivating and passionate art form, 20 pairs of individually numbered and signed guitars will be constructed. Each pair includes one “negra” guitar and one “blanca” guitar. The negra is built with exotic Macassar ebony back and sides and a master-grade Port Orford cedar soundboard. The blanca has its back and sides constructed of Spanish cypress with a soundboard of master-grade European spruce. Both instruments, which are fully French polished, have identical hand-made rosettes with matching purflings, gold-plated tuning machines, premium-quality strings, and transparent upper and lower tap-plates.
